The Oxford Dictionary defines inspiration as: “The process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative." Well, not sure where it came from but I definitely must have been 'mentally stimulated' about five years ago when I decided to take on a monumental task of writing and publishing a book. I wouldn't categorize myself as the most 'creative' person, but it took every ounce of my creativity and a mediocre writing skills at best (I learned the alphabet at the age of eleven!), to finish writing the book in English.
Of course, since I am currently living and working in Korea, I needed all the essays in the book translated into Korean to be published here. This task, which again was a colossal endeavor since two languages are quite different culturally and linguistically, belonged to my one and only partner - my wonderful wife!
As a teacher and principal for over thirty years, I have always had an interest in sharing my thoughts on education with students, teachers, parents, and school communities in the U.S. and Korea. I hope the blog posts will be educational and I encourage you to visit regularly.
